HAVING TROUBLE STARTING YOUR CAREER GROWTH JOURNEY?
Here are two websites that provide free information to help with your career growth planning.
1.Occupational Outlook Handbook
This is a U. S. Government website that provides details about job requirements and training and education and salary and job outlook for hundreds of professions.
2.O*NET Online
This is a U.S. Government sponsored website. It provides free definitions of jobs in the United States. Interested in a profession but not sure what the job will require you to do? This is a good place to find answers.

Career Growth Basics likes to start with the basics. Go to Google and in the search bar type:

My first try brought-up 225 listings.

INVESTIGATE JOB FAIRS
Job Fairs are a long standing tradition.
In some cases, there is the choice of meeting possible employers in person and/or online.
I did a quick GOOGLE search to check upcoming Job Fairs for Fall 2026 in my area.
Not surprisingly, things have changed.
This is a representative sample to give you an idea about what these Job Fairs are about. Do your own research to find out what's available in your area.

3.My recommendations for the rest of 2026.
Go To the website of your local community college or other institute of higher learning in your area. Besides getting information about job fairs, these are great places to start doing some local networking and to find out what type of local outreach is provided. Here are two examples offered at my local community college:
1.Short-term courses that provide details about how to start your own business.
2.If you have a degree and want to get out of business and into teaching, PBSC has a short-term course that provides teaching credentials.
The point here is to highlight the value of taking the time to explore possibilities in your own backyard.
